Caroline Bay, Timaru. Summer of 2023

A very colourful Cup and Saucer ride
is just a glimpse of the fun of the fair.

2weeks of family fun every summer for the last 113yrs
Run by volunteers and the profits help fund Free concerts in the Soundshell.
Today it was Queen tribute band.
Tomorrow our very own Kaylee Bell, nominee for 2023 International Country Artist Award.

Well done Timaru!

Went for a swim on Caroline Bay to cool off. Lovely beach. Groomed as well.
And the new playground looks impressive. Should be for $3m.
It's the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere!

@leighelse Brand new seating has been built to replace the original. Set up for another hundred years or till the sea comes in. In fact, it was sea until the port was formed on reclaimed land. Free concerts for 2 weeks is pretty rare these days though.
