Mini Golf Fundraiser for Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue
CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) –A mini golf tournament was held Sunday to support the Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue team ahead of the busy summer season. The event, called the Ocean Rescue Open, took place at the Putter Pub on Winner Avenue. It was organized by business owner Ryan O’Rourke and Carolina Beach Town Council Member Joe Benson. The tournament featured up to 36 two-person teams competing for a variety of prizes. A majority of the proceeds will benefit the lifeguards of Carolina Beach’s Ocean Rescue.
