#Nepenthes mirabilis, a member of the #Nepenthaceae sometimes referred to as the common swamp pitcher-plant, is the most widespread species in the genus. This plant was sold to me as Nepenthes mirabilis ‘Red’. It features a mottled red pitcher body.
Carlton CarnivoresLower pitcher on Nepenthes robcantleyi x maxima BE-3428. This plant got a much-needed soil wash and repot and will hopefully take off shortly; it’s capable of producing some very large pitchers and is a known female.

This one never hits wrong: Nepenthes burbidgeae x platychila. Wish it was a little easier to root but sadly seems to have inherited the burb dislike of rooting cuttings somewhat…

Testing for the first time a two-color print on my in-progress Sarracenia pitcher plant mezzotint. I don't have the exact final green with me, but it's close enough. I was mostly interested in testing the blending between them, and how the red would fare as it's a color that often shifts on copper. And indeed it's a bit dull, I'll have to try some tricks.
But overall I'm very happy with it! The engraving itself needs more work, to better define details, increase some local contrast, and finish cleaning the remaining parts of the halo. But it's nearly there ^^

I started working on a new mezzotint. I'm going experimental with this one, and when it's finished I plan to print it in two colors inked simultaneously. We'll see if it works 🤞

New flower: Pinguicula emarginata x moctezumae, HC C!
Quite similar in appearance to A, which is the only other one to bloom so far, but with slightly larger, and slightly more veined petals. It seems to carry the tendency of either parent to not divide very easily…but drops leaves very readily if disturbed much like moctezumae so is not hard to propagate.
