For a while, I've been a Taylor Swift fan, but lately, after exploring Carly Rae Jepson's album Dedicated, I'm especially digging Carly Rae Jepson's music a lot more now.

Pretty 80s inspired and lots of fun! She's definitely a lot more versatile than simply being the singer of "Call Me Maybe". I'm still addicted to her song "Want You in My Room" ☺️❤️🎶

Not that I dislike Taylor Swift less, but my tastes are growing now

After hearing Carly Rae Jepson's "Call Me Baby" yet again on the #radio...

Erm, you realise that #CarlyRaeJepson is still making #music, right? She last released something three months ago.

Maybe you should give it a listen and consider playlisting some of it. ;-)

This ‘Female-Forward’ Music Festival Was as Sickeningly Utopian As It Sounds

Over the weekend, thousands of concert-goers had a gay old time at All Things Go to the sounds of Lana Del Rey, Boygenius, MUNA, and more.

Sorry, taking a 3 minutes and 20 second break to jam out to #CarlyRaeJepson singing "#CallMeMaybe!"

So here's something neat: a few days ago I was looking at moon art (for lunar new year), and came upon one that captured my attention. I really liked it, but it wasn't the lunar new year sort of thing I was looking for, so I filed it away to check out later (there was no artist credit, so it would take some digging). Yesterday, I pulled it up again and finally tracked it down to artist Leha Van Kommer on her blog, active 2011-2015. http://lehak.blogspot.com/p/illustrations.html

I saw that these days she seems to be doing mostly doing tattoo art: https://www.instagram.com/lehavk, and then poking around on IG, I found this reel briefly showing her reworking that very same moon art, and including a bit of video from a Carly Rae Jepsen live show in which an animated version of the work is featured, and looks so great!

So that was a fun rabbit hole (and since this lunar new year brings us year of the rabbit, maybe appropriate, after all!)
