For #CarlSaganDay I’m sharing my latest processing attempt for my #astrophotography class — the Andromeda Galaxy (with at least two of its satellite galaxies). The software learning curve is still kicking my butt, but as always I’m awed to be able to work with these images. Details in the alt text.
Today would have been Carl Sagan's 91st birthday. He brought the wonder of the universe to the masses through his books and the Cosmos documentary series. Reading his novel Contact was a formative experience for me (though I wish the movie could have been more accurate).
