Sustainability win! ♻️ 🌟 This week, me and my partner successfully replaced a broken laptop screen (fall damage) on a 5 year old HP probook laptop. It was a little fiddly but NOT HARD TO DO, and the replacement screen (~120€) was the only cost involved. Seriously, if you can operate a screwdriver and have some fine motor skills, you can do this.

We couldn't have done it without videos on YouTube though, so thank you to everyone who has ever uploaded a video of a repair! We have replaced this laptop's keyboard last winter, so this is the second repair. It works like a charm and hopefully will last many more years!

These pictures are about some serious neighbourhood business. This is an old cart I found on the street, gave him a new wooden transportation surface, made of found wood.
I bought a combination lock and connected the cart with a found steelchain to a municipal bike rack.
now it is ready to use for me and the neighbours who need to transport stuff. his name is mad max.

The phrase #CareAndRepair first moved me in a recent #NaomiKlein article. It reminded me of the #EdwardNorton movie #LeavesOfGrass . "Don't you want to repair the world?" Sad that we don't expect that anyone saying that will be taken seriously: you see it through the criminal's expression in the movie. #Reparations , #Reconciliation ... all these words should have weight, import: become almost sacred and not derides as "Letters from Santa Claus" like the #UN #UDHR

#CareAndRepair Today is a good day to start (or keep) thinking about how to fix (clean up or make harmleess) all the messes (catastrophes) our civilization has made so far. War being fought around #Chernobyl, War-time fire and explosions around the biggest Nuke Plant in #Europe (or the #Ukraine ?)... Even if we implement a system more sensible that one based on nation states, an #earthquake could cause nukes to irradiate large areas like in #Fukushima 3/11 .
