Viches un páxaro de presa con outro "para limpar as súas plumas"?
Escea inusual durante a filmación: unha #caracara de crista nova sentou xunto a un abutre negro, baixou a cabeza e comezou a peitearlle suavemente as plumas da cabeza con bastante calma, como se fose como debería ser.
Os abutres negros adoitan limparse entre si, especialmente se son parentes ou unha parella formada. É unha forma de fortalecer o vínculo.
Pero non se entende completamente por que fan isto para os caracaras

Whoa! I just got out of bed, and have an appointment in a few minutes, so was killing time online when I ran across this link about a bird that is very rarely seen in Michigan (usually far south, Texas to Florida), and only the 3rd sighting here the photographer captured! (He actually finds and shows this crested caracara at about 2:50.) Very interesting way to kill these few free minutes for me this morning!
