Leonardo, an old company with headquarters in Italy but present worldwide has its origin is in Ansaldo Relormetage, a company that armed fascist Italy through the Istituto per la Ricostruzione Industriale. After the war the company changed its name to Finmeccanica & later Leonardo Finmeccanica which became Leonardo S.p.A.
The company produces weapons & surveillance devices serving wars & police states worldwide. The Italian state has 30% of its shares.

Leonardo is also linked to Ansaldo Energia S.p.A. is an Italian power engineering company based in Genoa, Italy. Ansaldo Energia S.p.A company's share capital was held between the Italian state investor, CDP Equity, (87.6%) and China's Shanghai Electric Group (12.4%).

Leonardo is, among other things, a specialized in weapons, "defense" equipment, communications/surveillance systems; currently an important providers of technologies in the current Palestine Genocide.
