I went back to Cape Perpetua today to hike to the shelter at the top. I ran into two people visiting from Phoenix who had just got engaged. I gave them some good tips on places to go in the area, came back down and then went farther down to the Thor’s Well area to watch waves hitting the rocks (and too many people too close to the slippery edge of the hole). Stopped by Luna Sea in Seal Rock for fish tacos on the way back. What a beautiful and delicious day so far! #oregoncoast #CapePerpetua
Nice minus tide outing to Cape Perpetua this morning. I was even able to stop in at the Bread and Roses bakery in Yachats for some delicious breakfast treats. #oregoncoast #CapePerpetua
Mist rolls in from the Pacific, wrapping the cliffs of Cape Perpetua in soft light. The Oregon Coast never ceases to remind me of its wild and beautiful nature. 🌊🌲 #Scape #EastCoastKin #OregonCoast #CapePerpetua #LandscapePhotography #PNW
I’ve been doing a lot of hiking in preparation for a trip to the Dolomites in September. Slowly and steadily, I’ve been increasing distance, effort, and elevation, and my body is handling it with minimal dizziness. Today, I hiked to Cape Perpetua from the Yachats side on Amanda’s Trail. 7.8 miles and 1850 ft elevation gain - from the north side, the trail climbs higher than the level of the edge of the Cape, then descends back down to it. #oregoncoast #CapePerpetua
