What I find interesting every time I read about it, is how close it’s conceptually to #Emacs.
Poor Jef Raskin just wanted to create a simple computer for everybody and kept getting screwed over by a job's-worth, Steve Jobs included.

The sad thing is that over in the UK, the #Amstrad PCW, a similar simplified computer for the masses (though lacking the pioneering spirit), was a massive success selling 8 million units.
