Enjoyed a very short, safe canoe ride along the edge of our lake today near #AlgonquinPark. Raining heavy and water was still very cold, so we took no chances, keeping to the edge where the water was just a few inches deep. Canoeing April 14, 2026 #Canoeing #nature #shoreline #Ontario #Canada

I'm below 10 pounds of gear for my backpacking bikepacking, and canoe camping base weight (paddling gear and biking gear not included). For bikepacking, I don't use the pack listed, and I haven't weighed the bikepacking bags that I use. I'm using Ortleib gravel panniers, a Rogue Panda top tube bag, and a Revelate Designs Pronghorn and Egress handlebar bag. So, probably 4 pounds in bags. I should get lighter panniers.

How was the packraft for navigation? I can no longer manage hauling my own canoe or kayak on a car, and I'm curious about how a packraft compares for handling.
