Ce matin, je visite l'ancien ghetto juif à Cannaregio, l'un des quartiers de Venise.
Lieu chargé d'histoire avec ses synagogues et ses petites ruelles, et lieu très calme, contrairement au reste de la ville et surtout à la Place Saint Marc !

One of the charming things about wandering strange cities is coming across heart-warming fragments of lives.

In 2002, I spent several days in Venice at the end of August and start of September. I wandered the twisty little byways, fascinated by the simultaneously closed-in and openly-exposed communities that inhabited slightly less touristed areas.

In a long narrow street near Rio de la Guerra in Cannaregio, I came across a doorway. My potato photo attached.
