Okay, meltdown over. Read *The Hellbound Heart* earlier bc there's nothing to raise the spirits like a good sexy horror time. (Okay, there are many other things. But sometimes I just need something weird to pull me away from my own navel-gazing misery.) Was kind of hoping Kirsty would go full sadomasochist and/or super vindictive by the end simply because I love the corruption arc of a mild-mannered woman, but I'm also content with the actual ending.
I like the visuals as text, but don't know if I'll be able to stomach *Hellraiser* without shutting my eyes sometimes. Excessive gore can make me a little squeamish. Same with maggots. 😭
