Oncology yesterday and as expected PET scan results weren't in. Doc, reminding me "I can't interpret this", brought up scan side by side with one from 2024 and there's extra glowy spots. At which point we both proceed to do our best Monty Python "Run away!"
Actual report came in a couple hours later and there aren't new tumors and the existing one is stable, although more avid than we'd like.

My sister is 75. She thinks about the time left on the planet. Counting down to her end. She’s not gonna sit in her chair, looking out the window at the ducks, waiting to die.
She’s going to start new things. She took a carpenter class at her local senior center. Now she makes portable flower boxes used to grow vegetables or flowers. They’re on wheels. She moved from North Carolina to Oregon. Starting a new life. I’m happy for her. I hope to make it to 75.

Her doctor detected some small tumors. The median recurrence for this cancer is six months, and we're at five, so this is not unexpected. But we have to decide if more surgery is the best course of action. Running some additional tests. #CatsOfMastodon #CatsOfPixelfed #VeterinaryCare #CancerSucks
