Michael Givanone, a “landlord who was ordered by the state Attorney General to stop harassing tenants in his mobile home park is trying to evict a resident by allegedly refusing to cash her rent payments.
“Adriel Colon-Casiano, the attorney for tenant Brittany Rowlison, said that his client’s bank sent her rent payments to a P.O. box provided by the landlord, but alleges the checks were returned, uncashed starting in February. Rowlison then received a notice of eviction for nonpayment from landlord Michael Giovanone, who has been trying to clear out tenants since he bought the property in 2021 so he can expand his neighboring Boat N RV Condos, a vehicle storage facility”
