Bus travel is free, as bullshits to us a city bus company Stagecoach which takes 3 GBP for a single 4-miles fare and skips maybe half of scheduled rides. #CambridgeUK

Just a week away! Come to St Giles Church (#CambridgeUK) on Saturday 21st March 2026 for #Brahms' German Requiem. We are joined by two excellent soloists and our wonderful friends from the Academy of Great St Mary's orchestra (@agsm ) 🎶💜

We had a visit from an Environmental Health Officer today for a hygiene inspection, and look what he left behind for us 🤩
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We've had a 4-star rating for a few years, and we're delighted to have made it a 5. A special shout out today to cooking team leaders and our cleaning volunteers in particular – you're doing an amazing job for the community, and you're doing it *well*. 🙂

For anyone else in #CambridgeUK or #SouthCambridgeshire wondering when their food waste collections will start:

Put an address in https://www.greatercambridgewaste.org/find-your-household-bin-collection-day, and then download the .ics file ("Add dates to calendar") and open it in a text editor; there's a header like one of:

X-GCSW-FOODWASTE-FROM:20260127
X-GCSW-FOODWASTE-FROM:20260428
X-GCSW-FOODWASTE-FROM:20260630
X-GCSW-FOODWASTE-FROM:20260929

which I take to be the start date (e.g. 20260428 = 28 April 2026).

Wow, that's messed up, expensive trainings about how to be a friend. From a leading expert, no less. But then many people in #CambridgeUK in my opinion are actually messed up in that they are indifferent to human beings around them and can't into friendship.

It's Stitch 'n' Bitch time, everyone!

If you're in #CambridgeUK and have an urge to repair/upcycle your clothes, to show other how you do it and/or to learn how to sew, darn, knit, crochet, or similar, you're very welcome to come along. Bring a sock to fix up, or just watch and learn.

This will coincide with the weekly CCK Tuesday open invitation sit-down community meal. It's free, and it's for anyone who wants to eat a hot meal and meet people.

Tue 20 Jan, from 18:30

NB There's very little bitching involved, really, honest.
