Our grey cattle are raised using extensive feeding methods.
Their feeding consists almost exclusively of about 3/4 hay (first cut) and 1/4 rowen (second cut) from our own fields.
I only occasionally supplement with about 1 kg of wheat and rye bran (organically grown, food-grade).

Three of our gray cattles. Jaro (ox), Jana (freemartin) and another freemartin calve (nameless). I brushed and scrubbed the beauties and the beasts. Afterward, they looked and behaved more like beauties than beasts. Even though there are only five cattles in our stable, it’s still a lot of work to keep each of them reasonably clean and in a good mood and natural shape.
The cobwebs in the barn don't really bother me.
