Came down to #RedwoodCity #CalTrain this morning and saw this.
I guess the city prefers no station at all to the possibility of unhoused folks sleeping in it. Sheesh.

A couple of years back I had the pleasure of riding commuter rail in the UK and Europe. In the bicycle spaces, they had charge points. And guess what? Wheelchair users could access the charge points as well.
And, while a 30 minute commute ride doesn't get you a full charge, it might be enough to get you home...

Andreas SebayangKaliforniens Caltrain ist gefühlt gerade erst mit hohen Mitteln elektrifiziert worden. Die Fahrgäste sind extrem zufrieden mit dem Projekt. Doch nun drohen Kürzungen. Kein Verkehr am Wochenende und am Abend plus drastische Taktverschlechterungen stehen zur Debatte. Ich hab' mir das mal genauer angeschaut.

Der elektrifizierte Caltrain ist noch nicht einmal zwei Jahre alt und schon drohen Kürzungen auf der wichtigen Verbindung zwischen San Francisco und San José im Herzen des Silicon Valley. Wird nicht genug Geld aufgetrieben, wird das gerade für viel Geld modernisierte System deutlich zusammengestrichen. Sogar Stationsschließungen drohen. Wir schauen auf die Situation.
