CaeriWent to see the #CallousDaoboys because I‘d seen them years ago and I loved the freaky rhythms they were playing, their songs were chaotic, eclectic and delightful.
I was happy to hear them play these songs too in their set - they’re a really unique act that way.
But the more recent songs they played in between… they had none of that crackling, bouncing, cheerful insanity. More of a metalcore feeling, straight, a very different vibe. Though many people were singing along enthusiastically, I caught myself being bored.
Curious about their next stylistic turn. Hoping it’s more brain-challenging stuff again. 😄
