I'm not a Depeche Mode fan- this has just a BIT of that feel (with less in your face vocals and a cooler, weirder vibe, in my opinion), or maybe Gary Numan, Coil, or Throbbing Gristle vibes sometimes. The Soft Vein vocals are kinda purposefully low/obscured too, to make em almost like another instrument, not always easy to make out lyrics, even, and I DIG it. Dark, dancy, catchy, great synths.
