Working on my calico critter cottage remodel today. I found some water based wood stain so I’m working on floors. The outside is just about completed and it’s time to move inside ^^ hoping today I complete floors and walls. Waffle is supervising as always.

My calico critter cottage remodel is slow going (difficult with 2 young kids & a cat always underfoot) - but it's starting to pull together on the outside at least!

The Calico Critter Remodel continues! This is round 3, I've finally finished 1 side + the front of the house with "stones" - one more side remains, then I'll move on to painting!

Next:
- Finish 3rd side with "stones" (egg cartons and mod podge)
- Paint everything with a coat of white
- highlight / shade individual stones
- paint the window frames
- add stained wooden trim
- roof
- add moss

I've started my Calico Critter starter house make over! Progress so far - how it started, during, and completed so far (still lots to go).

This is egg cartons ("stones") and mod podge. It'll be painted over and then I'll use pastels to shade / highlight individual stones, I'll also add stained wooden trim, and paint the window dressings. I'm also going to glue moss in between some of the rocks / wooden accents.

In #DailyCreative news, I've decided to remodel the Calico Critter house I have, first changing the outside hard yellow plastic to stonework using egg cartons.
