The furry prairie crocus (Pulsatilla nuttalliana) is a beloved sign of spring in Alberta. Join us on Nose Hill to hunt – and draw – the earliest crocuses. We'll bring our sketchbooks and check the fescue and poke around the south facing slopes. We'll talk botany and history and jot sketches. Hikers who don't draw are welcome to take notes and photos.
