NGC 40 Bow Tie Nebula

Magnitude 10.7 planetary nebula located 3,500 light-years away in the constellation Cepheus. Scientists theorize that NGC 40 will fade away in 30,000 years, leaving only a white dwarf star approximately the size of Earth.
