🚧 Wi-Fi upgrades: Jan 11, 2025 from 4:00 am to 8:00 am.🚧

#CalStateMontereyBay's IT team will be upgrading the operating system on Wi-Fi on Saturday Jan 11, 2025 starting at 4:00 am.

This maintenance is expected to last four hours and will cause intermittent Wi-Fi outages during the maintenance window.

🚧 Switch upgrades: Jan 8 - Jan 15 from 4:00 am to 4:30 am.🚧

#CalStateMontereyBay IT will perform switch upgrades:

Jan 8, 2025: Buildings 1-100 (except for 43 and 53).
Jan 9, 2025: Buildings 201, 504, 506
Jan 10, 2025: Buildings 508, 552, 902
Jan 14, 2025: Ryan Ranch, Steinbeck, Baseball field and Stadium.
Jan 15, 2025: Campus-wide outage expected during window.
Jan 16, 2025: Building 11 - no outage expected.
Jan 17, 2025: Building 41a - no outage expected.

On #CalStateMontereyBay owned computers, you may be prompted to update Zoom, then get an error that an admin needs to do it.

Workaround:
On a Windows computer go to your start menu and look for ManageEngine Self-Service Portal. Find Zoom and install version 6.2 by clicking on the install button.

On an Apple look for Self-Service in your Applications folder and launch it. Find Zoom and install.

We are aware of a message when trying to log into the #CalStateMontereyBay production instance of Campus Data Warehouse.

🚨 Certificate issue with GlobalProtect VPN Friday October 25, 2024 8:00 a.m.🚨

We are receiving multiple reports from #CalStateMontereyBay employees that are unable to connect to the GlobalProtect VPN because they are receiving a certificate error.

We are aware of this issue and working to resolve it.

We have received reports of customers being unable to connect to #CalStateMontereyBay's GlobalProtect VPN.

We are investigating the issue but have no estimated time of repair at this time.

🚧 Scheduled outage of #CalStateMontereyBay's OASIS and CMS Employee Resources due to the PeopleTools 8.60 upgrade on Saturday October 19, 2024 2:00 p.m. through Monday October 21 6:00 a.m.🚧

We will be upgrading our OASIS and CMS Employe Resources systems to PeopleTools 8.60.11 beginning Saturday October 19, 2024 starting at 2:00 p.m. through Monday October 21 at 6:00 a.m.

Customers will not be able to access OASIS and CMS Employee Resources during this maintenance window.

🚧 Wi-Fi maintenance, October 3, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.🚧

Information Technology will be applying an important patch on the #CalStateMontereyBay Wi-Fi system on Thursday October 3rd.

The maintenance window is approximately one hour, during with time, customers may experience issues with logging into the campus Wi-Fi or staying connected to the campus Wi-Fi.

**Update: This issue with ARC GIS has been resolved.

Due to a change with how ARC GIS handles its licensing, we are aware that customers may be having issues with using their ARC GIS software both in the labs at #CalStateMontereyBay and individually.

We are working on fixing this.
