#Scottish #islanders fume: #lifeline #food delivery removed off #CalMac #ferry

CalMac warned island communities at breaking point after perishable food was bumped off ferry for passenger #profits

The hauler wasn’t informed it was bumped until lorry arrived

Delivery included:

- Local shop food
- Fresh fish
- Stock for cafe
- Stock for both #restaurants

Not prioritised over pax despite priority matrix for essential deliveries

@threadinburgh.scot@bsky. There seems to be a trend towards intimidating customers by putting up warning notices.
All this actually does is create unnecessary unease.

As humans, we are social animals and we default to being amenable. That is what the transport operators should assume.
Signs like this flashing in front of you every two minutes for five hours are profoundly unhelpful. #calmac
