I cant qualify for CalFresh/SNAP if Im not working and by next year, Ill be tossed off MediCal bc of those same work requirements.
The second one is a bit interesting bc, I thought that the ACA penalizes people for not signing up for health insurance. So, if Im still unemployed, Im gonna also go into debt?

Mayor Lurie, along with a nonprofit sent letters to CalFresh recipients in the City. which offer a link to request a grocery gift card to help.
The letter is legitimate.
You have until December 31 to request the gift card.

📣 SNAP Update for San Francisco:
SF is proceeding with a plan to issue emergency grocery cards for November.
Letters were mailed to Calfresh recipients yesterday with instructions on activation for a digital or physical card (mailed). Some may want to pickup a card, but only folks with a general delivery address or PO Box will have the option of picking up a card in person at 1235 Mission St.
