It was reported stolen and there is no reason to believe that this did not occur. What seems more than a little surprising is that 'Belgrave Street' was given as the location of the theft rather than 'Belgrave Road' thus misdirecting any police investigation, presumably inadvertently. 'And it can only have been coincidental that #morganmcsweeney did not reveal his status to police nor did he report the loss to the permanent secretary at the #cabinetoffice !

How can it be that someone is SACKED and gets a £75K severance payment? More than many people can EARN in a year! If #Mandelson was threatening a tribunal claim then his bluff should have been called. Typical gutless response from #CabinetOffice & #No10.
