Don't get hopes up too high, though. The presser was set to announce there was no agreement, then #CUPEstrike team decided they should let members decide.
They did not come to an accord. #fireLecce made no new offers; no new support or hours. CUPE just called off the strike until members have their say.

Laura Walton is not happy with the deal - no new staffing or hours; nothing has changed from a week ago. Monday's strike is only "averted" because CUPE thought its members should have a say. Not hopeful at all.

CUPE files notice to go back on strike

The union that represents some 55,000 Ontario education workers has filed a five-day notice to go back on strike.

The union said it will remain committed to reaching a fair deal before the job action set for Nov. 21.
