Pi Media Player with VCR Vibe is Perfect for CRTs
The recording of last week's ambient electronic live set that I played in Luzern is available to watch / listen to on my website - https://www.ruhezustand.be
It's improvised analog electronic ambient music. It comes with glitchy visuals on CRT Röhrenfernseher, starring the much loved cat 'Espoir'.

I was wondering how the icon artist got the horns on that cute RAM icon to appear brown when the Workbench had the default four colours of black, white, orange and blue. I just had a look at the same disk on my PC via WinUAE and you can clearly see what they did when viewing it on a modern flat screen monitor. It’s a nice example of how artists used the visual artifacts of CRT TVs to their advantage.
Visual I version 0.4 "Fourth" – columns and space
It's time for the next step. Already number four. A small step. But mostly for stability. Because a decent amount of time has passed. And it's time to release something. It's time to get going. As they say. And here's the new release. Three intros. One controllable intro.

Last month I found a portable #CRT TV #crttv and wanted to get streaming channels working on it. If you’re new to doing something like this, I describe the simple process here: https://vikaskumar.org/2025/11/29/supersonic-fc9600-crt-tv-modernize.html
Ideally would love to do more than this and try to get some other demos working on the TV. I was able to get an Atari working on it to play games but playing games is not my thing. What else can be done with a black and white CRT TV ?
