Mom's cataracts doctor is a really wonderful Portuguese man. He understands immigrants & was very kind to my Mom. Dr. Pedago is one of the best doctors we have encountered in many years. Mom said - He has kind eyes/excellent human energy. I'm very grateful that we got him with a referral. I like to give credit, when it's truly due, to medical professionals, who treat their immigrant patients well. I notice it & also notice when some doctors have displayed bigoted behaviours towards immigrants (who aren't fully literate, like Mom). Real glad that I had no reasons to draw out my defensive tiger daughter claws, today 🐯

Mom's physical exam is done & she is relieved things went well. The waiting room was empty before & after her appointment. Empty waiting rooms are our fave 👍
Her GP has been good with masking up for all of her medical appointments. He's also been respectful about womens' safety needs, due to past traumatic, unprofessional experiences with her prior creepy GP. Mom also got her pneumonia shot at her appointment. She's getting her covid booster next week.

I'm going to feed all of our roses, with the hydrated alfalfa fertilizer that I made yesterday. I'm making another bucket for our trees, shrubs & berry plants.
I have 2 client appointments, later in the day.

@DenisCOVIDinfoguy I see it in every hospital in Victoria, BC & yet majority of staff aren't masked. I'm one of very few people in health care services, who have to see clients in all 3 of the hospitals here, who never stopped masking up. Cleaner air systems haven't been installed to increase public health safety in hospitals either. Our health care system will collapse - physically & financially - if provincial & federal governments keep ignoring covid & the many dire, costly, medical consequences it brings.

@avilewis Any politician who truly cares about wellbeing of all citizens, not just the lives of privileged people, would spearhead much better, preventative public health policies. A sustainable workforce, requires a strong rather healthy population. How every political party/politician here has normalized getting infected with covid multiple times - when that's preventable - is not true leadership. Long covid disabilities have hampered a lot of prior workforce & is continuing to strip more people from workforce. Not a single political party has any idea on how to deal with increasing funds needed to help newly disabled folks - who are unable to keep working with their long covid issues & with other medical issues triggered by covid infections like TB, Lyme disease, neurological dysfunctions & multiple organs damages - to name but a few that has been directly attributed to covid infections.

Will you wait until you or someone you deeply love to die or become disabled from covid, before you step up to lead by example? You'd be the first & millions of us would support you with leading better, by living example & demonstrating your words are not empty but you actually do care about disabled folks & every citizen, even most of you who normalized covid - when it should've never been normalized.

This was government sanctioned #murder by #eugenics policies. Every single political party has failed to protect citizens, especially most vulnerable ones. Every single politician has normalized eugenics. That will end up costing provincial & federal governments, millions, if not billions to deal with long covid & many other preventable health issues. You have an opportunity to do better & lead by a more humane, not eugenics, living example. Start by normalizing wearing masks indoors again.
