Interesting paper from 2012 (and how much has changed since then?): "swing voters" might not actually exist, or at least not in any meaningful numbers. This paper makes a case that "swing voters" are an illusion created by the research methods and statistics used by polling organizations.

Math makes ‘obvious’ things false. Imagine an object with finite volume but infinite surface area. Gabriel’s Horn is an interesting and beautiful object with infinite space but finite volume. It is explained as “you can’t finish Gabriel’s Horn when you want to paint it, but if you put this much paint in it, you can fill it so that it will be painted.” It is formed by rotating the \(y=\frac1x\) graph around the x-axis. There is a nice demonstrative project on Wolfram Alpha about Gabriel’s Horn. Sometimes we look in the mirror and wonder:

Why is it reversing left and right, but not top and bottom? Why does the person on the reflection lifts his left hand when I raise my right one?

Well, the mirror is reversing the orientation, but not like this.

Left, right, top and down are reflecting in a parallel fashion, while front and rear are the actual reversed orientations.

X and Y are ok.

The z-axis is reversed.
