OK, so this "Copybara" tool (open sourced by Google) is in fact pretty slick, and handy for updating vendored copies of source code as well as other code-moving tasks. Better than most of my "git format-patch/git rebase" bash scripts, that's for sure. https://github.com/google/copybara
