Seif’s balance and transparency. The statement by CEO Cinzia Monteverdi.

In response to the spread via social media and other channels by politicians and others regarding suspicions and insinuations about the lack of transparency in its recently published budget, the publishing company Il Fatto spa intends to clarify the following to protect its image:

For those who have spread suspicions about European revenue, insinuating a possible involvement of Putin or, more generally, Russia, we reiterate that the European revenue stream refers to contracts signed with invoices issued to companies within the WB Discovery Group resident in London and the United States, related to the production of television programs which can easily be verified through broadcast on Channel 9.

To those who speak of overly generous credit institutions, the Company recalls that in Italy there are no publishing groups that do not rely on bank debt. SEIF’s debt is supported by accurate analyses from reputable credit institutions and by our auditor, KPMG, which certifies the balance sheet with due diligence.

To those who define Il Fatto Quotidiano as a newspaper on the brink of bankruptcy, we remind you that the newspaper is continuously growing thanks to the increase in certified digital subscribers; the website is registering a continuous increase in traffic; all production areas that make up SEIF are growing. The Company has experienced dark years because it decided, despite the decline in newsstand sales, to continue investing and, above all, not to undertake restructuring operations detrimental to journalists and staff. It thought of the future with respect for people and the valuable work they do with a development industrial plan.

Forgive us if we do not sell the Company to the first bidder at the expense of shareholders and to the detriment of employees.

Should false and tendentious accusations continue to be spread, the publishing company Il Fatto will reserve the right to protect its rights in the appropriate forums.
