Down at #Fancon in Lawrence today. Come by to see my new STEAM magical girl prints!

My sons and only 67,000 people attended Fan Fusion today in downtown Phoenix. A long time ago and in another galaxy I was once an official photographer for Comicon and one of the first for the “new” anime con, Saboten-Con. Around 2008-10. Holy smokes, just realized 17 and 18 years ago.
I got my first senior portrait gig back then from a high school gal I photographed then. She had to keep explaining to her folks in Scottsdale why she wanted me and not a classy studio photographer. They also had to agree that I would make room for some shots of her in cosplay formal. LOL

3 Cons
So an Old Internet thing we used to do all the time was share stories from cons. I rather over did it on that front over the bank holiday weekend so have plenty to waffle about! MCM London This was a impulse unwise financial choice almost immediately after Liverpool Comicon only a few weeks earlier but my favouritest of favourite Star Wars characters, even more than my namesake, is Ahsoka... and how often are the American based voice actors over here and and and... So the short version is […]I went to a #Comicon on the weekend.
Noticed a number of clearly male folk cosplaying in full on female costumes.
Whether they were doing it "ironically"
Or whether its a fantastic way for an egg to go out in public wearing their "real" clothing, I don't care.
20 years ago, Nathan O'Brien started an event with 300 attendees, one Stormtrooper and a guest appearance from Margot Kidder & her dog.
Now that celebration of all things pop culture is Spokane's Lilac City Comicon, which runs June 6 & 7. Get the lowdown on this week's episode.
