Hey #ZXSpectrum Yolk Folks who were into #Codemasters budget games especially the #Dizzy series.
Does anyone remember Treasure Island Dizzy (128k) saying one of two different things when it loaded?
The well known one is "Welcome to Treasure Island Dizzy".
I am sure it sometimes said "Okay, its loaded".
I have 2 guesses of how this was achieved
1) both samples loaded with the game chose which one to play
or
2) my preferred more sneaky guess a different version on each side of the tape.
...pollen from flowers across a series of stages & bring it back to your hive.
Ah, but it's not quite as simple as that. 😅 There are various enemy insects in each stage that you must either avoid or shoot.
