So it goes. Niño 3.4 sea-surface temperatures have now set a record daily high for 28 consecutive days. June 26th saw an anomaly of 1.75°C above the 1991-2020 baseline, which is 0.45°C higher than the previous daily record, set at the start of the last strong El Niño in 2015.
