Anscheinend muss ich wohl alles selbst machen.

• Kacke nur wenn Mensch kein #Wohneigentum hat und deshalb kein #Wegerecht für #Glasfaser hat!

As polite & friendly as the #Business-#CustomerSupport at #Vodafone is, having 0 connectivity via #Cable is just bad.

• Cuz it's one thing if their #CMTS is overloaded and they've to #QoS and #TrafficShape the hell out of it to the point that it's getting slowed down significantly, but having like no interconnect is basically unacceptable!

And the #fallback via #LTE doesn't work great either…

• At least the #ISP doesn't gaslight me but instead admits that it's their problem, it's just frustrating to see that they did diddly-piss in over a month this issue is now open!

And yes, I do use @quad9dns 's IPs to monitor interface #uptime.

My #Cable Provider refuses to build out the overbooked #CMTS in my area.

@alterelefant @fuchsiii Even by #Vodafone's own metrics >25ms is bad and >50ms unacceptable.

Given that they ain't doing #VDSL - #Resale but literally own everything from the cable modem upwards, I consider the issue their problem as in "Even if I wanted to, I can't fix it - literally!"

• Cuz any "fix" I could implement would only result in even more #lag due to #tunneling (i.e. #GIF tunneling for #IPv6 or any #VPN)...

Them having overprovisioned their bandwith on the #CMTS for #EuroDOCSIS 3.0 or being #underpeered is their area to fix.

• And if a fix means they'd have to #QoS and apply #TrafficShaping against customers who do not have a binding #SLA and guarantees re: Bandwith and Ping is a mitigation strategy they could do, but chose not to.

Auch wenn bei mir ab #CMTS alle direkt ne Sternverkabelung haben (keine Ahnung warum nicht direkt #Faser gelegt wurde, wahrscheinlich weil seinerzeit #Unitymedia nur #Koax selbst zahlen wollte und damals #Gestattungsvertrag über 25 Jahre flexte) so sind z.B. die #TV & #Radio-Inhalte für die meisten gleich aufgelegt.

• Ich hab' nur #Internet und beziehe seit dem Verbot der #Zwangsbündelung auch nix weiteres von denen, aber wenn wer da ne Rückkopllung macht ist das nen Problem.

Das Problem dürfte daher bei irgendwelchen Nachbarn sein die irgendeinen Mist an die Koax-Buchse stecken!

• Und wahrscheinlich ist's irgendein Kind das dran rumfuchtelte...

So oder so wär's sinnvoll wenn's wenigstens Berührungsschutz gäbe und sei's eine auf die F-Buchsen aufschraubbare Abdeckung vgl. Herdanschluss...
