This circuit is from a Roland 100m modular synth, it's a CV controlled audio delay (only a few milliseconds, using a BBD chip). The clock is, unusually, a 4013 D-type flip flop. The lower half is an oscillator and the upper half is a divide by 2, with the complementary outputs driving the BBD chip. But I can't figure out how the clock is supposed to oscillate. Not helped by there being two pin 6s on the diagram (one is probably supposed to be pin 14). The 4013 runs from 0V to VDD and -ve supply to GND. But how is the CLEAR input supposed to toggle the output when SET is tied high? I can't make my 4013BCP do it, so maybe the 4013BP is special or I'm missing something obvious. #electronics #cmos
