#Zurich 🇨🇭 HB in December 2015: arrival of #EuroNight #464 from #Graz 🇦🇹 and #Zagreb 🇭🇷 (via #Ljubljana 🇸🇮). Right behind the #SBB Re4/4 electric is the #ÖBB sleeper of the AB30 variant, with its corrugated stainless steel car body, originally a 1950s #CIWL type P car, rebuilt in the 1990s.

La biennale de photographie Usimages, dans l’Oise, met en lumière les archives de la Compagnie internationale des wagons-lits, dans une exposition consacrée au chemin de fer. Quand le voyage dans ces trains aux cabines soignées et aux services haut de gamme était déjà une expérience en soi.

A picture taken in October 2006 at the workshops of the Zuid-Limburgse Stoomtrein Maatschappij #ZLSM, #Simpelveld 🇳🇱 : this is the #CIWL @diningcar #4268, restored to its former glory. The underframe dates back to 1927 and the upper structure was built in 1955.

#SleepingCar content from a couple of years back: on board #Euronight #Zürichsee - from #Graz 🇦🇹 to #Zurich🇨🇭 in an #ÖBB WLAB AB30/P sleeper. This is the former #CIWL “type P” #4538 after a substantial transformation, yet the old CIWL number is sill visible on the under-frame and it is engraved into the opening window.
The #Arlberg line is closed for works: this is why we travel, in August 2011, on a slightly northerly route via the #Allgäu 🇩🇪, hauled by two DB class 218 diesels.
