I feel that #future of #feminism hinges on our #transmasc brothers.
Us #transfems have already said and contributed a lot to #theory. Now I feel it's time to hear our fellow transmascs.
They face some interesting intersections of #privilege and non-privilege specially around their bodies. If they pass, they will be seen as people who don't menstruate and who don't get pregnant even tho reality is quite often the opposite. Additionally, their experiences with #testosterone and loss of being read as "safe" can give us an standard of sorts to which we can compare the grievances of #CisMen.
The more we have #trans folks (including #enbies) sharing their struggles and stories the more we can refine our understanding of #gender and #sexism.
This also helps us see how a lot of the problems with men are not about just straight or cis or cishet men but about that very tiny intersection of the, for lack of a better word, hegemonic default male: the prototype for which #patriarchy serves.
