Everyone thinks canada's new immigration laws are so great. Quite frankly I think it's white supremacist bullshit. My great grandfather was an equal rights activist on the west coast and anyone of Chinese decent was a number not a person. He spent years trying to record their names and the places they came from in order to keep their history alive, but I can tell you, have fun trying to prove they lived here.

I guarantee the issue would be the same for a whole lot of people who came through with the underground railroad and returned to the US years later.

So you can pat yourself on the back for for canada's "great human rights", but I guarantee 95% of our trans refugees are gonna be mighty fucking white, which doesn't do anything for the most vulnerable in the US. And heck yes, I want any trans people getting the fuck out of there, but not a single person will address the elephant in the small print.
