Trinidad's Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar is demanding the exit of CARICOM’s secretary-general Carla Barnett after her term ends in August. The demand came during an emergency meeting Friday, escalating tensions within the 15-member trade bloc. Trinidad contributes significantly to CARICOM's budget, adding weight to her demands.
