Nach über 40 Jahren ist es soweit: ich gehe demnächst in den Ruhestand. Aber die Arbeit des Ökumenischen Eine-Welt-Kreises für unser Bildungsprojekt in Ruanda geht weiter!
Ich werde dem Eine-Welt-Kreis weiterhin angehören und die Leitung des Projekts fortführen.
Gleichwohl ist diese Zäsur Gelegenheit gewesen, zurück und auch nach vorn zu schauen. Dazu hatte ich Gelegenheit, im Radio ein längeres Interview (Das Ruanda-Projekt, Autor: Djuana Mannel) zu geben und ich lade Sie ein, dieses mit Hilfe dieses Links anzuhören. All the practices that should have become routine after COVID - attention to hand and surface hygiene, monitoring air quality in enclosed spaces, using air purifiers, wearing masks where possible in enclosed & high risk settings - would greatly minimise risk of transmission of any new or existing infectious disease.
If these practices are not part of your life already - or of a school, business, hospitality venue or medical facility you are responsible for or frequent - it’s always a good time to start. Right now, in flu season (in Australia) with so many respiratory viruses about, especially so.
