I'm thrilled to present our latest work - fresh of the oven: "Structural asymmetry as a fraud signature: Detecting collusion with Heron’s information coefficient".
We introduce Heron's Information Coefficient (HIC), a robust measure to quantify structural imbalances in dynamic networks based on the triangular inequality and the D-measure. We applied the measure to 8 years of Brazilian health bidding data, revealing similar abnormal patterns, possible indicators of collusion.
