It needed the publication of Prof Wendy Alexander's written evidence* to the Education, Children and Young People Committee regarding the #DundeeUni crisis for me to learn my #WordOfTheDay
#CAKEISM
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/cakeism
I find wanting to "have your cake and eat it" a great phrase. It definitely required a noun π
See an example of use π

#UKpol #UK #Brexit #cakeism #megalomania #exceptionalism #egoism
As if we in the #EU needed any further evidence that British exceptionalism, delusion, ignorance and arrogance are still going strong, almost 10 years post Brexit referendum, Nick effing #Clegg rehashes British cakeism in the most unserious, megalomaniacal way possible.
The Oberserver's *justification" for publishing such BS speaks volumes to their rapid downfall.
"Starmer: Reset with EU will not reverse Brexit"
Sounds like it will be about as successful as my plan to lose weight, which will not reverse my cake consumption.
@alexproe @hengymrohebwlad Yes, I see rejoining as a 20-year-ish project. Rejoining the SM or CU (or both) would be a good first step. At the moment, Starmer is saying he plans to do neither.
I think his plan to ease trade has something to do with cake.
Sebastian Fox (or was it Corinne Stockheath?) then puts the icing on the cake (remember Bozo's #Cakeism?) by issuing a grave warning - 'Don't gift Labour a supermajority...'
Grant Shapps is such an ignoramus. The Fixed Term Parliaments Act of 2011 was the only vaguely constitutional law in the UK that included a requirement for a supermajority and that has since been repealed by the Nastiz.
In our Commons, a party needs nowt but a simple majority to govern.
Good Morning, all I'll do anything for love #LBC (but I won't swallow the notion that Grant Shapps is the Secretary of State for Defence). Michael Green (for it is he hee hee) is still peddling the fake and disingenuous Β£2000 Labour tax surcharge claim despite complaints our Second-Past-The-Post Prime Minister Rishi Sunak shamelessly promoted the Not-So-Big Lie (in size it hardly matches the Β£350 Million on the side of the bus). And Nick Ferrari fails to call him out. #R4Today #BBCbreakfast
