Dann mal (mit falschem Monitor und "Platzhalter C64" ) ein paar vorsichtige Tests. Das Projekt "Case64 Ultimate" wird wohl etwas mehr Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.
Kleinerer Monitor und dünnere Bodenplatte, für freie Sicht zum Monitor.

Experimenting with #JiffyDOS on my #Ultimate64 - it seems to be pretty hit-or-miss. The webpage had a note recommending what seems to be CIA timing settings:

> Yes. Customers have noted that settings PH1=140 and PH2=80 work well.

I don’t see any way of finding nor tuning these settings, though. Have I misunderstood something?

Tonight's (repeat) lesson: The problem with ad hoc cable management is that you need to completely redo it if you move things around.

Behold, the best 8 bit battle station the 80s and 90s had to offer. My #mega65 and #c64u side by side, with the speakers, pine power, network switch, and video switch all wired to go.

Today's frustration.

First: this is only on the C64, both using AV and S-Video. It is there regardless of NTSC/PAL

Second: this monitor works just fine with the Mega65 and was also tested using RGB/AV output from a Sega Dreamcast.

Obviously the C64 is new, and the video cable is also new from commodore.net.

According to (barf) Gemini this was a common problem with the Ultimate, but the "help" it's giving me is utter hallucinated bull.

Oh, and I've also tried a safe mode boot with default settings to no avail.

Has anyone run into this? If you did and ESPECIALLY if you fixed it let me know!

I'm good to just HDMI/dvi, but also want to have a relatively authentic experience.
