Excellent #investigativejournalism from #C4news on #watercompanies in the UK getting a "free out of jail card" for serious #environmental #crimes, by making a #charity payment called "enforcement undertaking (EU)". This is basically like an out-of-court settlement that victims can't avoid or negotiate, & in criminal matters, which is unheard of in UK/International #Law. A red flag for the #RiversTrust, who systematically ACCEPT this blood money & support the statusquo.
