#c2c #Railway Ltd has launched a #British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter service for deaf and hard of hearing passengers, marking a further step in its drive to improve accessibility. From this month, customers travelling on the c2c network can connect to a live BSL interpreter via an app or online link, allowing them to speak directly with staff about journey information, disruption updates and ticketing queries.
The InterpretersLive! service, delivered in partnership with Sign Solutions, provides real-time support in passengers’ preferred language. It can be accessed at home, on the move or at stations using a smartphone, tablet or computer.
c2c said the scheme will help staff better support deaf customers, particularly during disruption, and forms part of its wider plans to make travel more inclusive.
