I am starting a new theoretical astrophysics group here in Armenia, mainly focused on cosmology.
Once the Bybyurakanbservatory was one of the leading in the world. I hope my legacy will be to restore this once mighty community.
Yesterday I spent the day with the last student of of the great astronomer Viktor Ambartsumian (#byurakan observatory in Armenia) talking about evolution of matter, cosmology, and all that jazz.
Instead of sleeping, I spent the night in thinking about Arp-galaxies, and how wrong our conventional understanding of matter and the constant character of the physical laws are.
And yes, I have few more arguments in my arsenal against my enemy - the string theory!
