Suspect dead after approaching #WhiteHouse checkpoint with weapon - #SecretService

The person approached a checkpoint shortly after 6PM ET “removed a weapon from his bag & began firing at posted officers.”
Officers returned fire & hit the suspect, who was transported to an area hospital, where he later died…
A #bystander was struck, but law enforcement said it wasn’t clear whether that person was struck by the suspect’s bullets or those fired by officers.

The U.S. Secret Service says a man who opened fire near a White House security checkpoint is dead. It was the third incidence of gunfire in the vicinity of President Donald Trump in the past month. The agency says in a statement Saturday that a preliminary investigation found the man was near 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue when he pulled a weapon from his bag and began firing. Its officers returned fire. The suspect died later at a hospital. A bystander also was shot. Trump was at the White House at the time. Secret Service said he was not “impacted.”

Wie können wir diese und uns auch selbst stärken. Ihr dürft das dann in Rollenspielen und mit theaterpädagogischen Methoden ausprobieren.

Am 07.02.2026 ist eine Mitarbeiterin von der Fachstelle Wildwasser zu Gast. Sie ist absolute Expertin, was die Intervention angeht, stellt euch die Arbeit der Fachstelle vor und führt euch mit abwechslungsreichen Methoden unter anderem zu allem Rechtlichen durch den Nachmittag.
